Passion, the pattern of Jesus last day
"Jesus writing pattern fits his life pattern, which gives proof that the writing pattern that I related to Jesus really relates to him. The last day of his life is fully recorded in the Bible. The pattern of his last day fits the pattern of the Parable of the Prodigal Son, which is a clockwise pattern. Starting at the beginning of the Last Supper we have the Apostles in a party mood. They are gathered in the upper room getting ready for what has been known as the Last Supper. I relate that to the sociable part. The next scene is Jesus beginning to wash the feet of the Apostles. Peter refused to be washed. That relates to the next part which is reject. We are using the clockwise pattern. Also early in the supper Judas leaves, which also has a reject quality. Next part is communication which we can assume would relate to the small talk among the Apostles as they ate their meal. Next part is authoritative as Jesus told about his relationship with the Father, of sending the Spirit of truth, of his death, of the Apostles future and his prayer to the Father. These are recorded in John Chapters 14 through 17.
The Bible doesnt record it, but The Urantia Book records that after his talk. He went and gave personal advice to each Apostle. It was an emotional time as he went around the table stopping at each Apostle preparing them for the future trying period. This fruitful part we can relate to the beginning of the Parable of the Prodigal Son. The younger son gets his inheritance. It is recorded in the fifteen chapter of Luke.
The next part is expansive. We found the word "goeth" occurred most often in this part, which indicates that expansive has the quality of travel. All four Gospels record that after the Last Supper, Jesus and the Apostles went to Mount of Olives. Similarly, in the Parable of the Prodigal Son is the travel quality as it says the son went to a far country.
The next part of inadequacy is shown by Jesus sorrowful state: "And said unto them, my soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch, and he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. And he said, Alba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not my what I will, but what thou wilt. And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? Couldest not thou watch one hour? Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak." Mk 14:34-38. The Prodigal Son likewise showed the inadequacy quality. "And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land, and he began to be in want. And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him." Lk 15:14-16
The next part is enlighten. For Jesus the quality of lights is recorded: "Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons." Jn 18:3. The Prodigal Son came to the realization he would be better off as a servant of his father and decided to go to his father.
The next part is action. Jesus was bound and brought to the palace of Annas. The soldiers did chase the Apostles and there was a record of a young man that escaped their grasp by leaving his linen coat. The action by the Prodigal Son is recorded: "And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck and kissed him." Lk 15:20
The next part is spiritual. This refers to the time when Jesus was at the High Priest palace. Then he was lead to the temple where he was tried by the Sanhedrist court. The Prodigal Son said, "Father, I have sinned against heaven." But the father told his servant to bring the best robe and put a ring on his hand, indicating he was officially accepted as a part of the family.
The next part is sociable. Jesus is judged by the Sanhedrist court and also at the judgment seat by Pontius Pilate. In the word count for sociable the words: judge, judged, judging, judgeth, and judgment occurred 20 times out of a total of 31 for all categories. So we have to realize that the quality of the sociable category is broader than the key word of sociable would imply. The Prodigal Son scene was that they killed the fatted calf and was partying with dancing and music. Note how similar it is to the scene with the Apostles before the Last Supper.
The next part is reject. The scene by Jesus is that the crowd rejects Pontius Pilate verdict of: "I find no fault in this man." The scene at Prodigal Son is the elder son refusing to join the party.
The next part is communication. The conversation between Jesus and Pontius Pilate is recorded in Jn 18:33-39. The Prodigal Son scene was of the conversation between the father and the elder son. Lk 15:28-31.
The next part is authoritative. When Pontius Pilate learned that Jesus was a Galilaean, he sent him to Herod. Herod was regarded as a King. After Herod interviewed Jesus, Herod robed Jesus in a royal garment and sent him back to Pilate. So the authoritative quality was a relationship with a King also Jesus was mockery dressed as a king. It is recorded in Lk 23:6-11. The authoritative quality in the Parable of the Prodigal Son is when the father tells why his actions are justified. "It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again: and was lost, and is found." Lk 15:32.
The next part is fruitful. Pilate sits on the judgment seat and sentenced Jesus to be crucified. It was about the sixth hour of the day of preparation of the Passover meal. There was a slight delay as there were two others that were scheduled to be crucified.
The next part is expansive. Jesus and the other two had to carry the cross beam of their cross. They started within Jerusalem and went to Calvary, which was outside the city. Jesus falls down under the heavy load and they get Simon, a Cyrenian, to carry the cross. Expansive besides the concept of travel also includes the concept of foreigners, and foreign places.
The next part is inadequacy. Jesus hung on the cross and dies fits this part. The excellent correlation between the events of Jesus last day and the clockwise pattern of the Parable of the Prodigal Son helps prove the idea that the pattern I found was Jesus writing pattern.
It is more than just a style of a persons writing; it is a pattern of a persons life. It is an indication of how our mind works. It also applies to everyone."
